Today, I am reviewing three different products from the brand Swiss Vita. I was given the opportunity to try and review three of their products (free of charge) and I have loads to say about both the brand and the products.
Swissvita collaborates with a biotech lab to create smart skincare to maintain (or return) youthful radiance to skin. Vita’s mission is “to formulate simple, safe and effective products for your ageless beauty.” Their products are available for purchase on Amazon, and they have loads of things that look interesting and that I’d like to try.
The first product I received was the Micrite 3D All Use Eye Cream. This cream retails for $29.99 and contains a natural herb from the Amazon rainforest, AC-11®. This phytonutrient is used to aid tissue repair and slow aging. Other product claims are that it reduces the appearance of dark circles, puffiness, and tightens your skin to give you a more youthful looking appearance.
The eye cream is a clear, odorless gel and a very small amount goes a long way. I definitely felt that it immediately tightened the skin around my eyes and improved the appearance of fine lines. I used the entire tube, and squeezed every single last drop out of it. I liked this product a great deal. It reminded me of the Freeze 24-7 Eye Cream, which is a great deal more expensive. Honestly, I can’t tell a difference between the two products – or their effects.
My favorite of the three products is the Anti-Spot Serum which is currently unavailable, but I suspect it will be back soon. When it is, I will definitely be buying this. This product also contains AC-11® and Vitamin C to reduce the appearance of dark spots. I have had one rather large dark spot on my right cheek forever and it drives me insane. This product faded this dark spot to the point that it is almost not visible any more. Gone. But don’t take my word for it, I have photographic evidence. This first picture was taken six years ago and the spot is visible on my cheek, midway down my face about even with the corner of my eye. As I’m sure you can imagine, the spot didn’t get better with time. It didn’t get larger, but it definitely got darker. I tried everything you can imagine short of laser treatment: all sorts of creams and lotions, chemical peels, microdermabrasion – but the spot lingered.
This photo was taken last week. I do have makeup on, but no concealer, just my regular foundation. The spot is still there, but it’s not nearly as visible as it used to be – it’s certainly not the first thing I notice when I look in the mirror anymore! I’m extremely happy with this result. I rolled up that tube up super tightly and used every last drop. Once it’s back in stock – it’s mine!
The final product Vita gave me to review is their Anti-Wrinkle Cream. With a retail price of $31.99, it’s a bit less expensive than many extremely high-end brands of cream designed to fight wrinkles. According to their advertising, “It works by combating aging and the most frustrating of wrinkles. It flows right into your skin, attacking the problem areas” with their super power ingredient AC-11® to increase natural collagen formation. It also contains B12 (which I adore in skincare products) and Osilift, an oat-derived sugar that helps prevent the damage pollution causes.
This product is gentle as advertised, and absorbs into your skin quickly and completely. It doesn’t have a fragrance at all, it’s not at all greasy or sticky and it leaves your skin feeling hydrated and refreshed. I have been using this in the morning under makeup, and it’s not at all too much for my skin. I think that even people with oily skin types could enjoy this product, it’s that light.
This is the one product of the three that I haven’t used completely yet, but I’m working on it and I will! I’m not sure how much of an impact it has had on my wrinkles, but it feels great and it certainly is working as well as many other high-end brands.
I think it’s important to add that these products have no additives, no alcohol, no fragrance, pigments or parabens. They claim to be safe for all skin types including sensitive skin and I can certainly imagine that to be true. Unlike my tender heart, my skin isn’t all that sensitive. 😉
Unfortunately, not everything is perfect and there is one thing about these products that I can’t stand (but that the company obviously loves!) and that’s the packaging. These aluminum sealed tubes do some really good things – they protect product from heat, reduce contamination and preserve products a great deal. But, they drive me insane because tiny amounts of product continue to leak out of the tube after you stop squeezing. If you immediately recap the product, it leaks into the cap and gets gummy and gross. If you don’t replace the top immediately, it leaks out onto your counters. Maddening. They do include very specific instructions for opening the package. I will admit that I have never read them. There’s probably a solution to this problem that I’m too lazy to discover.
So beauties, that’s that for today! If you give these products a try, please let me know your thoughts!
I’ll be back with more soon – I’ve been buying quite a lot lately, and I’m eager to tell you about it all!
